South-east queensland (our old home) was lashed by a huge storm. I was talking to some friends from QLD and they say they have never seen a storm so fierce. They had 130 Km/h winds! Check out some pictures here –> http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/gallery/0,23816,5035825-17382,00.html
Just had a F111 fly over Brisbane at exactly 12:15pm – it shock the entire city! They are practicing for the Brisbane River Festival which is on this weekend. They are going to do a night-time dump and burn over the city.
It’s official – Matt and I are coming home! Expect to see us in cooler climates for good at the end of October….
hmm… this is my first attempt at adding to the blog – I hope that it works!
We went to the Brisbane’s International Motor Show or BIMS for short. It was 5 halls of CO2 producing machinery. I was a little disappointed with the absolute lack of hybrid, hydrogen or even electric vehicles. Fleur liked the beetle of course and to my surprise I can actually fit in the stupid thing (I mean – nice little car). Did you know the engine is in the front? I’ve been thinking all these years that the new beetle still had the engine in the back and boot in the front!
But Fleur and I did agree that we both liked the new Ford Focus convertible hard top.
Yet another year of unimpressive motoring advancements. What I want is a flying car! Maybe a skycar!
